SPOTREP

What’s new

Changes to Spotrep, newest first. Missing something? Suggest it from the field guide.

: Russian forces mode

  • New practice mode, Russian forces: only the equipment Russia fields today, from tanks and air defence to drones and rifles.
  • A clearer field guide: filter by land, air or infantry weapons and then by type, models grouped by type as cards, your own record on each, and a “Still to learn” filter for the ones you keep missing.
  • The field guide can show just the equipment in Russian service.
  • Thermal and Close-up modes have been retired. The daily challenge still has a thermal round, and your old results stay on your account.

: Levels, ranks and the quartermaster

  • Earn XP for every target you name: more for the exact model, double in the daily. Climb 20 ranks from Recruit to General.
  • Merit, earned by levelling up, achievements, the daily and practice games. It can’t be bought.
  • Spend it at the quartermaster: streak freezes, extra practice games, a Pro pass, insignia for the leaderboards and new optic reticles.
  • In practice you can pay for a hint with Merit instead of points. The daily stays the same for everyone.
  • New here? Basic training walks you through three easy targets with tips on how to play and score.

: New modes, achievements and 329 models

  • The catalogue grew from 148 to 329 models: more armour, artillery, air defence, aircraft and drones, and 75 infantry weapons in seven new types (sniper rifles, SMGs, pistols, grenade launchers, mortars, towed guns, transport aircraft).
  • Streak: daylight targets until you get the type wrong. How far can you go?
  • Variants (Pro): Leopard 2A4 or 2A7? T-72B or B3? Pick the right version within a family.
  • Difficulty for practice: Recruit, Specialist, Expert or Mixed. Levels follow how players actually do once a target has enough answers.
  • Practice games now mix the types, and you won’t see the targets from your last games again straight away.
  • Leaderboards per week and month, and per equipment type (armour, artillery, air defence, aircraft), from the daily challenge.
  • Daily archive (Pro): replay any past daily as practice.
  • Achievements on your progress page, worked out from your own games.
  • Model pages show when each model entered service, what players most often mistake it for, and the sources for its facts. Every model’s cues, users and names were checked against sources.
  • Suggest missing equipment or a correction from the field guide, and report an offensive callsign from the leaderboard.
  • Keep yourself off the public leaderboards from your account page.
  • Long range mode was retired; its photos now appear as daylight targets.
